Piano tuning, rebuilding and repair is an art not found in many tuners. It takes years to develop the skills necessary to make your piano sing! Don't be fooled by tuners who say "I can play therefore I can tune". Tuning and playing are two completely different skills and not related to one another.

Tuning and repairing a piano requires an excellent "ear", years of experience and the technical skills required to work with one's hands to regulate, rebuild and repair. It also requires the problem solving skills sometimes needed when coming across an unusual situation. This has nothing to do whatsoever with piano playing!

Ever take a huge puzzle out of a box and spend hours putting it all together? Rebuilding a piano involves removing all the strings (each of the 88 keys has three strings), the action, hammers and every single part of your piano. The typical piano has between 9,000 and 12,000 parts!! Only an expert technician has the skill and knowledge required to take apart this huge "puzzle", reassemble it in the correct order and precisely complete the time-consuming jobs such as regulating the action and filing or pin pricking all the hammers .

Don't let just anyone touch your piano! Be sure the technician is an experienced, reliable and competent  Piano Technician..
